Preview the upcoming Homecoming game

Last year’s Homecoming game was smoked out, because of the poor air quality due to the wildfires that ravaged Southern California last year, and this year the football team is almost in a must win situation.

The Falcons lost their first conference game two weeks ago to Chaffey and they need to win to keep hopes a ending their long playoff drought alive.

Citrus is 1-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play and in its last game against Mt. SAC the Owls lost 54-14.

The Falcons are 3-2 overall and 0-1 in conference and are coming off a bye week.

The Falcons have featured a very balanced offensive attack and a stout defense but special teams have let them down this season.

In their two losses special teams have come up empty numerous times.

In heir first lost to Long Beach City, it was the punt team that failed them.

It had two punts blocked and a fumble on a return.

Then against Chaffey the kick team let down the Falcons with two missed field goals, one being the possible game winning kick with just seconds left in the game, and a failed extra point.

The Falcons must improve on special teams to make any kind of push to get into the playoffs and it starts with their game against Citrus on Homecoming night.
